How it works

1. Tell us about them

Choose what you need (a eulogy, an obituary or a funeral program) and answer a few gentle questions, one screen at a time. Who they were, a memory that makes you smile, something you're grateful for, something they used to say. Every question can be left blank, and your answers save as you go, so you can stop and come back from the link we email you.

2. Read how it begins

We prepare your text from your answers, usually in under a minute, and check it against what you told us. You then read the opening. For a eulogy you can choose between two voices: warm and personal, or calm and composed. For a program you see the cover with your photograph.

3. Keep it if it feels right

If it sounds like them, you pay once and everything unlocks. If it doesn't, you can go back and change your answers, or simply leave; there's nothing to cancel.

What you receive

• Eulogy: the full text in your chosen length (about 3 or 5 minutes), as PDF and Word, plus a large-print reading copy with marked pauses and a page of reading tips.
• Obituary: a short version for print and a longer one for online.
• Funeral program / order of service: a folded, print-ready PDF and a flat version, with your photograph.

Changes

For 7 days you can ask for changes in plain words ("a little shorter", "less formal", "add that she loved her garden") or edit any line yourself.

Refunds

If it isn't right for you, you can ask for a full refund within 7 days, no questions asked. See refunds.

Your information

Your answers are private and used only to write your texts. Everything is deleted automatically 30 days after you finish, and you can delete it sooner at any time. Read how every text is prepared and checked in our editorial standards.
